France reports Puumala virus cases annually but Andes virus is novel to the country. Santé publique France monitors all hantavirus species through the national reference centre.
Resolves YES if Santé publique France or ECDC reports ≥11 cumulative confirmed hantavirus cases (any species) in France for 2026 before July 1, 2026.
